As the title of the thread suggests, this thread shall be the location of the very first unofficial cup that HaxLeague has to offer you, Guest. Whilst having a discussion with HCAFC regarding the very first season and start dates, we equally brought up problems which may cause the league to suffer such as one of us being away at a particular time. To make this situation ameliorate, we have proposed to create a cup which all eight teams can participate in and gain bragging rights against one another before the opening season commences. As this league and Haxball itself is purely for fun, unnecessary disputes being created are frowned upon and may result in further action being taken against the creator. As this cup can be described as ‘unofficial’ and less important than cups which I and other members other staff will be creating in the future there will be no official match time for when you have to play, but simply a date for when the game(s) must be played by (the graphic below will show this) – the cup will start ASAP and finish on the 10th of August. The decision regarding when to play is purely based on when two teams are capable to play each other – it is the captain’s role, not moderators, as to decide when you want to play. The rules will remain the same as the ones already in place, please see the ‘Rules’ tab for further information, such as the games being played in a three vs. three format, games being played on the “Big” stadium, two halves of five minutes, and what not. The ‘Golden Goal’ rule will apply for the latter rounds of this competition if ever needed when a game cannot be settled within the normal amount of time. Although not needed, recordings are preferred as verification of results. To avoid in putting the tournament ladder in much depth, we will follow the same structure that the Champions League does, meaning that there’ll be both group and knockout fixtures – two groups of four, with the two teams on the most points (3 for a win, 1 for a draw) proceeding to the rounds beyond. In these later rounds, there’ll be four sides remaining – the winner of the first group will play the runners-up of the second group and vice-versa.

For now, the teams shall be referred to as ‘Team One, Team Two’ and so on. These will be changed once the captains have been selected and put in their designated group based on a random fixture generator.

Regrettably not all games were played because of the high number of players going away on holiday. This has affected many leagues all around the UK, even causing some to postpone all their fixtures.

Honestly didn't expect the league to get running this fast, good job Gible, Neo & HCAFC so far!
This one sounds really nice, well thought-out, nice formatting and stuff. Also like the idea behind it, gives the different teams a chance to get to know each other better while at the same time giving a first hint on where the season might take the teams.

I'm afraid there are only 8 slots and they will all be filled in by the teams that will be formed in HaxLeague. Your team's members could only play if they registered here and got picked by a team.

To confirm the result above, La Invictus won their first game of the tournament by beating 420 5-2. However, there were apparently some lag issues - as a result, I'll be unlikely to host future games. As for statistics, I scored three times and Tiki and Pro both got one apiece.
